Engine Maintenance

Preventative maintenance is imperative to the lifespan of your vehicle. You can increase the lifespan of your vehicle by having regular preventative maintenance performed on the engine. This is the easiest way to maintain peak performance and fuel economy for your vehicle. Bring your car to us for trustworthy engine maintenance services.

Engine Replacement

Your engine is what keeps your vehicle moving by converting energy into useful mechanical motion. Like other mechanical parts on your car, the engine is susceptible to wear and tear that can cause damage or a break down. If your vehicle breaks down due to engine malfunction, bring it in to our expert mechanics for quality engine replacement services.

Cylinder Head

The cylinder head is located in your car's engine block, and is the closed end of a cylinder. It sits above the cylinder block and forms the combustion chamber. The primary function of the cylinder head is to seal the cylinders properly by coordinating airflow in and out of your engine. Insufficient compression would cause your vehicle to be difficult to drive, so you'd need to bring your vehicle to us to have your cylinder head checked and repaired. We provide professional cylinder head repairs and reconditioning.

Timing Belt

A timing belt is made of rubber and usually features teeth on the inside service, while a timing chain is a metal roller chain. Most modern vehicles today have timing belts instead of timing chains. The belt is part of your car's internal combustion engine, where it synchronizes the camshaft and crankshaft rotation for the engine valves to open and close at the correct timings. The timing belt also prevents the piston from striking the valves in an interference engine. You should have your car's timing belt checked regularly by the expert mechanics at Summers Auto Repair.

Cylinder Block

A cylinder block is one of the most important parts of your vehicle and it is designed to be strong and sturdy. The powerhouse of a motor vehicle, the cylinder block is solid cast and houses the cylinders and their components (gaskets, valves, and seals) inside a cooled, lubricated crankcase. Although it is built to be durable, the block is susceptible to failure which would cause your vehicle not to be able to start. Some of the problems the cylinder block faces include cracked blocks, porous blocks, core plug, or freeze plug failure. If you're experiencing cylinder block problems, rely on our team of ASE-certified mechanics for help.
